A Practice With Purpose
Why Yoga
If I’m being honest, I first began attending yoga classes thinking it would be a way to lose weight.
However, after a few months of consistent practice, I began to notice a shift in my energy and receive insights I had never experienced before.
After graduating from university in December 2012, I booked a trip to India to study yoga, without any expectation of ever teaching.
With the support and encouragement of my teachers, I was invited to begin instructing classes for the school where I was studying.
Yoga is now practiced all over the world; however, at its essence, it is deeply rooted in tradition and personal empowerment.
At Lobitos Yoga, we strive to honor the true nature of the practice while adapting it to meet the needs of each student.
We recognize that asana (the practice of postures )is only one expression of yoga. Our teaching seeks to respect and acknowledge the wider roots of the tradition, beyond movement alone.
Through workshops and immersive experiences, we offer opportunities to deepen practice, better understand the body, and explore other expressions of yoga.

We hope to practice with you soon
